Gabrielle watched our house and took care of our dog and two cats twice for a total of 6 months the end of 2016 and beginning of 2017. I highly recommend her, knowing that she is a very dependable and trustworthy house/pet sitter.
Typically after we have been away for a couple months our dog Cody immediately comes running to us with a desperate whine when he sees us upon our return. When we walked into the house after returning from a couple months abroad in late 2016, however, he just lay by Gabby very contently. Although we were taken aback by this and were a bit jealous, we were delighted that he felt so comfortable with Gabby that he did not really miss us.
It was obvious that the cats had become good friends with Gabby too. Moreover, the cats were not only very healthy, but were quite relaxed in her company after being abandoned by us for a long amount of time. We were so confident in Gabby’s abilities that we made arrangements for her to stay in our home when we left for a 4-month long educational voyage. Once again we were not disappointed upon our return home. The house was in excellent shape and our pets were healthy and content. In short, I recommend Gabby for pet and house sitting with great enthusiasm. Should you hire her she will do a great job for you. I met Gabby through a co-worker and she came to our home for our first meeting. I liked her immediately and she was so easy to be with and converse with. She was so gentle with our cat Shadow (who is a special member of our family) and I felt very comfortable asking her if she would sit with him while we went on vacation. My husband and two daughters have also met Gabby and like her. She has sat for us four different weeks (now twelve!) and if we were going on vacation for a month, I would not hesitate to ask Gabby to stay for that period of time. We had an 11 year old Yorkie that we thought of as a child. We entrusted Gabby with him for a two full weeks while we were traveling overseas. Needless to say, this was not an easy decision. What made it tougher was that upon returning home we think Butch, although glad to see us, really missed Gabby! She did a wonderful job of taking care of him as well as watching over our home. Recently we called upon her services again for a quick overnight trip. We hope to count on her again in the future.
