Some Friends

These are just a few of the fast friends I've made in my 35 years of service.
Each one a character and a gem.

As a photographer I love to snap photos of animals. If you have an Instagram account, you get pet updates while you're away!

Max is one awesome cat that I sat with for many years.  He came to the door as a stray just before his new family planned to take a week-long trip.

Having several animals before, these clients were previously torn about getting more animals until this handsome man showed up.

Stella and Fletcher are a comedy duo of labradoodles with high energy and a close bond with each other.

They were a joy during playtime! The stuffed duck didn't fare so well.

These two needed watched over when their family had an emergency, which I was able to respond to within 24 hours. Emergencies are rare but they happen. I do my best to help my clients, even during the holidays.

Ringo, a Maine Coon named after the famed Beatles drummer, he had more of a personality like Johnny Ringo but he got sweeter with age.  This beautiful boy liked to jump on the counter when I came in from the grocery, and would gently butt his head against mine to say hello.

I enjoy taking photographs of my friends to share them with my clients.  But this has also proven to alleviate grief when we have to say goodbye to a beloved pet.

Sadly, Ringo passed away. His family expressed deep gratitude for the photographs I took and we remain fast friends thanks to him. He is dearly missed.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is Mystic. An incredibly silly Weimaraner pup when I first met him; he's now a HUGE, beautiful fellow.

Yes, he actually smiled for the camera!

Mystic is now close to 80 lbs and on hind legs stands taller than me. [I'm 5' 7".] That might sound intimidating but having known him since he was a puppy, he is a fun, loving dog whose family trained him well. Obedience training is is very important, especially for large breeds.

I have a rule about larger dogs because as he grew, Mystic taught me what I could and couldn't handle without obedience training. He mostly taught that every pet has character [his is rare!] and recognizing that goes a long way to fast friendships that last.

I never say never -- only 'let's meet' and see if your pet is a good fit with my character, too.
